On January 1, 1942, in the middle of World War II, the representatives of the governments of the United States of America, Great Britain, the USSR and China, signed a short document that would later be known as the Declaration of Nations united The following day, the representatives of 22 other countries joined. In this document, the signatories pledged to make the maximum effort to fight against the Axis Powers (Germany-Italy-Japan) and not to sign a separate peace.
